Job Description:
800x600 Safely and effectively performs routine and non:
routine maintenance on plant equipment utilizing preventive and predictive measures.
Makes daily workplace inspections and pre:
shift equipment inspections.
Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
Repairs and replaces broken or malfunctioning parts of machinery and equipment.
Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions using meters, gauges, and/or other testing devices.
Read and interpret work orders and equipment manuals.
Complete work orders by recording work performed, parts used and amount of time taken for maintenance or repair.
Cleans, lubricates and adjusts parts of equipment and machinery.
Uses cutting torches, welding, power tools, and instruments used in maintenance activities.
Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plum bobs and straight edges.
Assists Process Attendants with blockages as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
1
years' experience in material handling, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair in a mechanical/industrial related job.
Must be familiar with the use of welding/cutting equipment, mechanical and pneumatic hand and power tools, meters, and test equipment.
May be required to return to work during non:
business hours in emergency situations and to perform work on a scheduled stand:
by assignment.
Ability to perform tasks that include but not limited to walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces and occasionally 50 lbs and more.
Must have dependable transportation.
