DESCRIPTION:
This position works closely with and provides assistance to Technical Services, Continuous Improvement, and Research & Development.
This is a multi-dimensional role that requires the individual to multi-task across several concurrent activities and assignments.
Responsibilities:
Conduct product evaluation and performance analysis, standard and advanced failure analysis and provided detailed data analysis.
Develop and modify product test plans to establish the performance and durability of the products being tested.
Develop and maintain knowledge of product applications and plant-wide processes and equipment.
Prepare test samples.
Effectively set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain standard and custom test equipment and chambers.
Make test set-ups without supervision.
Generate accurate and timely data to determine the outcome of each experiment.
Report any observations, for example, inconsistent data, to management.
Report test results, including completion of lab test request form, and writing formal reports when appropriate.
Author and provide the content for best practices and test procedures.
Actively participate and, potentially lead, product quality and process auditing.
Follow all health, safety and housekeeping policies, including keeping the work area organized.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regular, full-time, in-person attendance at the LG Technology Center.
Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended durations, as needed.
Capable of wearing PPE (safety glasses, Kevlar jackets, boots, hearing protection) in a manufacturing environment up to 8 hours per day, as needed.
Willing and able to travel up to 25% of total work hours per year on a project-dependent basis.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct, exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):
High School Diploma or GED as a minimum Bachelor's Degree preferred EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
A minimum of 3 years of glass fabrication experience KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude Organized First-rate interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications and conflict resolution, ensuring team cooperation Detail oriented Ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible to changes Ability to work in a team-based environment with minimal supervision Technical competency to understand and communicate test procedures Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail General construction/carpentry knowledge and experience using basic shop equipment and power tools Willingness to obtain OSHA-compliant forklift certification and operate mobile equipment - forklift, JLG, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work with computers, data acquisition equipment, and lab instrumentation Skilled in MS Office for use in preparing reports and documents, particularly in MS Excel spreadsheets Diligent in following safety protocols and recognizing potential hazards Ability to work with and as part of a team including but not limited to managers, employees throughout Cardinal, and vendor partnerships Ability to exercise good judgement in decision making, ideas, and all aspects relating to the LG Technology Center team, Cardinal, and other company relationships The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
