2K a year 5 days ago 5 days ago 5 days ago The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as communicating with students, documenting student files and data entry.
Responsibilities and Duties Maintains adequate records to ensure Accounts Receivables are collected within the allowed timeframe.
Performs data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, equipment inventory, and confidential employee or departmental files.
Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail.
Inputs a variety of accounting data into the college?s accounting software including A/P, A/R, post payments, write checks and account reconciliations.
Maintains accurate financial records.
This includes updating students? accounts and maintaining consistent communication with our students.
Identifies student?s late payment and creates the appropriate paperwork for the past due student account.
Posts payments, deposits, and received FSA funds to appropriate institutional computer system.
and deposits into the institution?s accounting computer system.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills An Associate Degree preferred or high school diploma with equivalent work experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
