Cook for Pre-School Children in the Head Start Program
Rate of Pay :
($8.
23/hr) 35 hours per week ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Plan and prepare foods from menus that are nutritionally fulfilling for the children served in our program.
2.
Copy menus and post or distribute as required.
3.
Purchase foods for preparation.
4.
Prepare and serve foods to children in program.
(Breakfast, lunch and snack) 6.
Prepare daily roster of children for USDA paperwork.
7.
Maintain sanitary and safe kitchen area at all times.
8.
Purchase supplies and equipment for kitchen as needed.
9.
Attend in-service training as required.
10.
Complete required paperwork.
11.
Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulations.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent.
3.
State mandated 20-hour and 10-hour training or enrollment in these coursed within 90 days of employment.
4.
Annual 8-hour In-service training.
6.
Previous experience preparing food within a school setting (preferably a pre-school environment).
